SWAT team storms JetBlue plane at JFK airport after pilot accidentally reports hijacking

Armed police stormed a JetBlue aircraft after the pilot reported that his flight has been hijacked by mistake at JFK International Airport in New York City.

The footage, captured on Tuesday (June 26), shows the aircraft being surrounded by police cars and ambulances on a runaway.

The flight was due to leave JFK International Airport for Los Angeles at 7.30pm local time.

Before takeoff, the pilot reported a problem with a faulty radio to air traffic controllers using the wrong code that sparked the security alert.
