Indiana officer lends helping hand after raccoon gets head stuck in peanut butter jar

An Indiana officer offered a helping hand after he spotted a raccoon with a peanut butter jar stuck on its head.

Wednesday night, Danville Metropolitan Police Department’s Officer Josh Gauger was on patrol on US-36 near the police department when he saw a racoon walking alongside the road. He noticed the raccoon looked unusual as he spotted a peanut butter jar on its head.

After a quick laugh, Gauger’s body cam captured him putting on some gloves then taking the jar off the animal’s head. The raccoon ran off and no one was hurt per DMPD.

Police added, “And yes, the peanut butter was all gone…”
